PRADHARSHINI
It is an annual mega event organized by our school wherein Inter School competitions are conducted for city schools. This event attracts around 35 – 40 schools.
Started in November 1995, Pradharshini was initially a project day with a new topic every year. We started off with a Science Exhibition that brought the budding scientists and engineers among the students to the limelight. Next year, it was Literature that formed the topic for Pradharshini.
The language exhibition brought forth the talented actors, actresses and orators of our school. In our school , Value Education forms an integral part of our learning. So in November 1997, the subject of Pradharshini was Values. The students came up with plays that stressed the importance of values. The next year, Pradharshini focussed on Social Sciences. The students made models of India’s famous monuments, places of worship and heritage sites.
From the next year, Pradharshini was made into a inter school event. We provided a platform for other schools to exhibit their talents. In 2000, we hosted an Inter School Science Fair. In 2001, we organized lots of competitions in various literary activities for the students of other schools. In 2002, the theme was `Humanities’ followed by `Fine Arts’ in 2003. In 2004 the second round of competitions in `Science’ were held. Pradharshini 2005 was based on `Literature’.
