Anindya Dutta, S.Shravan and R. Ananthapadmanabhan won the third position in the National level Intel Science Quiz conducted in New Delhi by the CBSE. They were one of the four teams selected for the finals chosen out of 6000 teams from all over the country.

The first three places were secured by our students in the Radiation Quiz conducted by The Indian Society of Radiation Physics(ISRP) on 29/01/06.A special prize was awarded for the highest marks scored in the written test to our school student.

S.Lalitha of Class V won the Quarter Finals in Interschool T.T. Tournament conducted by Mylapore club in December 2005.

B.Kumaran of Class II was placed 14th. in the XIX under-7 National,Aurangabad and 34th. in the Asian Youth Chess Championship(New Delhi).He also represented Chennai District Chess Association in the State Under-9 chess championship tournament and secured 11th. Place.

SPORTS Tennis
In the Under 14 category Preethi Srinivasan has won Championship in Fischer AITA Talent series in Chennai. She secured the promising tennis player award for the year 2005 .She was the semi finalist in the Under 18 girls doubles category in the Fischer AITA talent series in Chennai.
In the Under 14 boys single’ category,Viswajit Tirumurthi secured the ‘Runner up’ title in Central Chennai City schools Tennis tournaments.
He secured the Boys’ doubles title in Tamilnadu Tennis Tournament.
CHESS
Kumaran.B was placed first in the under-7 boys category conducted by Chennai District Chess Association.He also won the 18th Tamilnadu State Under-7 chess championship.In the under 8 category he secured first place conducted by GRT Mahalakshmi School Interschool chess championship.
Kavya Suresh secured 6th. Position in Tamilnadu State Chess tournament organized by Kilpauk Chess Academy.
CRICKET
Nethra.L is a budding young girl cricketer of the Sri Sankara Cricket Academy .She won “Best Player of the Tournament” and “Most Promising Young Cricketer” in the R.J. Kothari Cricket Tournament for girls conducted by women’s cricket association.
